Bio

Robert Dall is a 30-something web designer, blogger and photographer.

Born and raised on the West Coast of Canada, in the small seaside village of Sechelt, B.C. Robert’s passion for the visual element started with his first high school photography class. He continued with this passion by studying at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, graduating with a Diploma in Journalism Arts.

The next seven years were a chaotic blur of lenses, assignments, time zones and cities as Robert criss-crossed the Arctic and Western Canada telling the stories of Canadians from the viewfinder of his camera.

New horizons

Homesick after years on the road, Robert returned to the West Coast seeking to broaden his horizons, while staying a little closer to home.

Since then, he graduated from BCIT's New Media Program in spring 2008 with an internship at Creative Spirit Communications. and worked at Intrawest ULC

Home is where the nearest café is. . .

Robert currently lives in the funky and independent Commercial Drive area where he can be found savoring the best coffee in the Lower Mainland. He writes and reviews coffee shops in a blog called the Vancouver Indy Coffee Scene.

When Robert isn’t on the web, he swims with the Hyack Masters Swim Club he volunteers his time at the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation and is fond of the view from his kayak.

Concept for Site

I choose the concept for my website as the human back. I found it is frame, the foundation on which we all flow from. I also believe the human back is one of the most beautiful pieces of the human body. The model is Caitlin Griffin who is a professional dancer and chorographer.
